Introduction:

Eid-ul-Adha, also known as the Festival of Sacrifice, is a significant Islamic festival celebrated by Muslims worldwide. It commemorates Prophet Ibrahim's willingness to sacrifice his son, Ismail, to obey Allah. Alongside the festivities and animal sacrifices, the day begins with a special congregational prayer known as Eid-ul-Adha prayer or Namaz. This blog post will provide a comprehensive step-by-step guide to performing Eid-ul-Adha prayer.

Namaz Eid Ul Adha Ka Tarika Full Detail

Step 1: Purification (Wudu or Ghusl)

Before offering any prayer, it's essential to be in a state of ritual purity. Begin by performing ablution (Wudu), which involves the following steps:

Begin with the intention of performing Wudu to offer the Eid-ul-Adha prayer.

1. Wash your hands up to the wrists three times.

2. Rinse your mouth and clean your nose by sniffing water in and out.

3. Wash your face three times, from the hairline to the chin and ear to ear.

4. Wash your arms, starting with the right arm, up to the elbows, three times.

5. Wipe your head with wet hands, passing them over the entire head once.

6. Clean your ears by using your index fingers to wipe the inside of your ears.

7. Finally, wash your feet up to the ankles, starting with the right foot, three times.

Step 2: Dressing for the Prayer

Wear clean and modest clothing. Wearing your best clothes for the special occasion of Eid is recommended. Men may also wear traditional Islamic attire, such as a jubba (long robe) or thobe.

Step 3: Attending the Congregational Prayer

Eid-ul-Adha prayer is offered in congregation, preferably in an open space like a mosque, prayer ground, or large hall.

Arrive early to secure a spot in the congregation.

Listen to the sermon (Khutbah) delivered by the Imam before the prayer.

Step 4: Performing the Eid-ul-Adha Prayer

The Eid-ul-Adha prayer consists of two units (Rak'ahs) with additional Takbeers (saying "Allahu Akbar").

Begin by raising your hands to the ears and saying "Allahu Akbar" to start the prayer.

After the Takbeer, fold your hands and recite the opening supplication (Thana).

Recite the additional Takbeers seven times before the recitation of the Quranic chapters (Surahs).

Recite Surah Al-Fatiha, the first chapter of the Quran, followed by another chapter (Surah) of your choice.

After the recitation, perform the Ruku (bowing) by bending from the waist and placing your hands on your knees.

Rise from Ruku and perform the Sajdah (prostration), touching your forehead, nose, palms, and knees to the ground.

Repeat the same process for the second Rak'ah.

After completing the second Sajdah of the second Rak'ah, remain seated and recite the Tashahhud (testimony of faith) and Salawat (sending blessings upon the Prophet Muhammad).

Finally, turn your face to the right and say "Assalamu Alaikum wa Rahmatullah" to greet the angels on the right shoulder, then turn to the left and repeat the greeting.

Step 5: Listening to the Sermon (Khutbah)

After the prayer, listen attentively to the sermon delivered by the Imam. The sermon typically includes reminders, advice, and teachings from Islamic sources.

Conclusion:

Performing the Eid-ul-Adha prayer is a cherished and significant aspect of the festival. By following these step-by-step instructions, you can ensure that you perform the prayer correctly and gain the spiritual benefits associated with it. May your Eid-ul-Adha be filled with joy, blessings, and the acceptance of your prayers.
